Joe Gomez vs Arsenal 2017 (3-3) Video- Simon Mignolet Howler/Mistake

The Arsenal vs Liverpool fixture again proved to be one full of goals, but the Reds will be ruing their defensive lapses that converted what was looking to be an easy victory into a hard fought draw. There were only six and a half minutes in the second half between the visitors going 2-0 ahead and then falling 3-2 behind. Arsenal effectively scored their three goals in the space of five odd minutes, and all three were courtesy of defensive mistakes.

For the first and third Arsenal goals, right back Joe Gomez was guilty while much maligned goalkeeper Simon Mignolet will not have endeared himself to fans after he let Granit Xhaka’s powerful shot in.

John Terry names Gerrard and Carra in his all time XI

John Terry has named Steven Gerrard and Jamie Carragher in his all time Premier League XI. Midfielder Gerrard and defender Carragher are the only two Liverpool players in the list (it has 8 Manchester United players!). Carragher partners Rio Ferdinand in the heart of midfield while Gerrard plays alongside Paul Scholes.

Cherries blown away by sublime Reds attacking display

Liverpool became the first Premier League side to score three or more goals in four consecutive away games as they produced an attacking masterclass to demolish Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium.

The two games between Eddie Howe’s Cherries and Jurgen Klopp’s Reds last season had produced a total of eleven goals, including a seven goal thriller in the corresponding fixture last November. Howe opted to keep faith with the same back four that had given a good account of themselves in midweek against Manchester United, but made changes en masse in midfield and upfront, with Joshua King the only survivor from the trip to Old Trafford.
