Liverpool have officially announced the signing of James Milner on a free transfer from Man City. Milner will link up with his new teammates at Anfield on July 1, subject to him passing a medical.

Milner had joined Man City from Villa in 2010 for £26m.

He scored five goals and had seven assists for City in the 2014/15 season, and his average distance covered of 11.7km a game was only second best to Burnley’s George Boyd
