Torino defender Angelo Ogbonna admits he is flattered by talk linking him with a move to Liverpool.
Ogbonna has been linked with both Manchester United and rivals Manchester City recently, but the Anfield giants are also rumoured to be interested in the Italian centre-back.
The 24-year-old is reportedly open to a move to the Premier League, but insists he is happy with his current club.
“It is flattering to be linked with Liverpool, one of the biggest clubs in the world. It’s very famous,” Ogbonna told Sky Sports.
“However, my contract with Torino expires in 2016 and I like Torino as a club. But you never know.”
Ogbonna has impressed for his Serie A club in recent seasons, earning a call-up to the Italian national side.
But the defender has been forced to withdraw from Cesare Prandelli’s squad after suffering from an inflamed prostate gland.
Prandelli is yet to name a replacement ahead of their matches on Friday against Armenia and on Tuesday against Denmark.
