FA Cup fifth round draw: Manchester City to face Chelsea & Arsenal host Liverpool

Jose Mourinho’s reward for seeing off Stoke is a trip to face Manuel Pellegrini’s free-scoring side and Brendan Rodgers’ men will travel to Arsene Wenger’s Premier League leaders

The FA Cup fifth round will see Manchester City host Chelsea at the Etihad, while Liverpool face a trip to Arsenal as the top four of the Premier League battle it out for a place in the quarter-finals of the competition.

The draw threw up two more all top-flight affairs as Southampton travel to Sunderland and Everton set to entertain Swansea, which will give the lower flight teams left in the cup a boost with the prospect of a clutch of top teams being knocked out.

Sheffield Wednesday and Charlton escaped a difficult tie against Premier League opposition as they face each other in an all-Championship clash, while the winners of the replays featuring Sheffield United and Fulham will take on the victors of Nottingham Forest’s replay with Preston.
