Premier League Team of the Week: Hat-trick hero Eto’o joined by Cazorla & Cabaye

In goal, Vito Mannone (3.5), who has been linked with a move to Manchester United, is given the nod. The Sunderland goalkeeper picked up Goal’s player of the match award as he kept the hosts in the game with some smart saves in the 2-2 draw with Southampton.
The ever-marauding Kyle Walker (3.5) is our pick at right-back. The England full-back was a constant outlet on the right-hand flank and was solid enough defending his own goal as Tottenham came away from Swansea with a 3-1 win.

At left-back, Cesar Azpilicueta (3.5) is selected as he was recalled to the starting XI by Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho, putting in a solid shift to largely keep Antonio Valencia quiet in his side’s 3-1 triumph over Manchester United on Sunday.

Goal’s centre-back partnership sees Gary Cahill (3.5), who defended solidly against Manchester United and had a hand in one of Samuel Eto’o’s three goals, is joined by Arsenal defender Laurent Koscielny (3.5). Another assured performance from the Frenchman helped the Gunners defeat Fulham 2-0 on Saturday.

There was plenty of competition for a midfield place in Goal’s team, with the likes of David Silva, Moussa Sissoko, Ramires and Christian Eriksen all narrowly missing out on a place.

But Yohan Cabaye (4.5), who scored two goals as Newcastle brushed West Ham aside at Upton Park, is a certain pick, while Yaya Toure (4), who grabbed a goal and assist in Manchester City’s 4-2 triumph over Cardiff City, joins him.

Santi Cazorla (4) also earns a place and completes our midfield trio after he twice found the back of the net in the second half to ensure Arsenal secured a 2-0 win over Fulham and preserved their position at the top of the table.

In attack, Samuel Eto’o‘s (3.5) hat-trick heroics at Stamford Bridge see him claim one of the three positions, while Emmanuel Adebayor (4), who continued his impressive run of form by scoring twice again Swansea, and Edin Dzeko (4) are also selected.
