Newcastle welcome Liverpool in Saturday’s early kick off with Brendan Rodgers’ side looking to climb back to the summit of the Premier League. The home side are the outsiders priced at 3/1 (4.0) to claim three points, Liverpool are favourites at 17/20 (1.85) and the draw is a 14/5 (3.80) shot.

Magpies’ fans won’t have fond memories of Liverpool’s last visit to St James’ Park which ended in a 6-0 defeat, a score line that’s available at a mammoth 250/1 (251.0) .

In the 3pm games on Saturday, Manchester United look very short at 8/15 (1.53) against a high flying Southampton (11/2) side who are currently sitting in fourth place. The Saints have conceded just twice so far this season and will harbour hopes of exposing a United defence that have only kept one clean sheet so far this term.

David Moyes will be hoping Wayne Rooney can take his England form into this match. The 27-year-old opened the scoring against Montenegro and Poland at Wembley and he is 9/2 (5.50) second favourite to score first at Old Trafford behind Robin van Persie (3/1).

Aston Villa (11/4) host Tottenham (Evens) on Sunday afternoon as Andre-Villas Boas’ side look to bounce back from their 3-0 defeat against West Ham just before the international break which somewhat soured their start to the season. The draw is available at 5/2 (3.50).

Villa Park has been a happy hunting ground for Spurs in the recent past, their last two visits there have resulted in 4-0 wins for the London side and that’s a score line priced at 40/1 (41.0) .

Monday evening sees a huge match at the bottom of the Premier League as Crystal Palace (7/4) look to change a run of results which has seen them lose four consecutive matches.

Their opponents Fulham (8/5) secured a vital victory over Stoke in their last game to relieve some pressure on boss Martin Jol. Darren Bent scored the only goal in that victory and a 1-0 scorecast with the former Aston Villa man scoring the goal is priced at 28/1 (29.0).
