Liverpool winger Stewart Downing makes his debut in our XI after helping Brendan Rodgers’ men to a 4-0 win over Fulham, with Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere also making the cut as the Gunners pulled into the top four with a 1-0 victory at Wigan.

Jan Vertonghen makes his sixth appearance in our side this season after he shut out Stoke in Tottenham’s 0-0 draw on Saturday, and he is joined in defence by Fabricio Coloccini, who guided Newcastle back to winning ways against QPR.

West Brom duo Chris Brunt and Romelu Lukaku both make their TOTW debuts following the 2-1 comeback win over Norwich, while Everton left-back Leighton Baines and Reading goalkeeper Adam Federici round off our XI.

Steven Pienaar, Luis Suarez and Steven Gerrard are all unfortunate to miss out, while Frank Lampard and Shola Ameobi also just fail to make the cut.
