‘Hugs to Terry’ – Suarez sends best wishes to injured Chelsea captain

Luis Suarez has sent his best wishes to injured Chelsea captain John Terry after Liverpool striker drew 1-1 at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.

Terry scored the opening goal of the contest on his return from a four-match suspension but was stretchered off after a collision with the Uruguayan forward.

Suarez grabbed an equaliser for Liverpool in the second half to earn Brendan Rodgers’ side a point but was sympathetic to his opponent’s plight.

“A shame we couldn’t get the three points,” Suarez posted on his Facebook account. “Glad to help the team with another goal… Hugs to Terry, I hope it’s nothing serious.”

The former England captain is set to undergo a scan on Monday to determine the extent of the problem with his knee.

Reports have suggested that Terry may have suffered ligament damage which, if serious, could rule him out for the rest of the season.
