Liverpool will kick off their 2012-13 European campaign tonight in Belarus wearing their all-red Warrior strip after the club’s new third kit proved to clash with the host side’s strip.

Brendan Rodgers’ side were hoping to wear the new third strip – which was released on general sale yesterday – but the nightshade, orange and white colours have proved to clash with the home side’s kit and forced the change to the all-red design which recently broke all selling records for a newly launched Liverpool kit.

Should Liverpool progress in the Europa League, the third kit will be worn by the team subject to the colour of any opposition club’s kit.
