Rafa Benitez has issued a personal guarantee to Reds supporters that Liverpool will finish in the top four, reports the Daily Mirror.

The Spaniard is adamant they will start picking up points now that stars like Fernando Torres are back playing.

“Every game for us is a game we have to win,” he said ahead of tomorrow’s clash with Wigan at Anfield.

“Our mentality is to win every game. Sometimes you and sometimes you can’t.

“But you can’t be negative. You have to be positive and I am really positive.

“How can I change things? By working hard every day. The players are the same as me and they are working hard every day in training.

“I can guarantee we will finish in the top four.

“If you make mistakes, you have to keep going. We still have 22 games to play. We know we have to change our target and now it’s about getting three points against Wigan. If we do that, then we move on to Portsmouth.

“When you are in a bad moment, you have to keep working and concentrating on your job. I’m really pleased to be at Liverpool and I will try to stay for a long, long time.”
