Coutinho goals vs West Ham give Liverpool 4-0 win at the London Stadium

Two goals from Philippe Coutinho, the latter coming in slightly controversial circumstances after West Ham’s Winston Reid remained prone on the other end of the field, helped Liverpool seal a 4-0 win over Slaven Bilic’s side on 14 May, 2017. Sturridge and Origi with the other two goals for LFC.

Stoke 1 Liverpool 2- Brazilian duo give LFC victory

Liverpool took another major step towards securing a place in the top four with victory away at the Britannia (now renamed Bet365 Stadium). Two points lost rather than one gained- Liverpool 2 Bournemouth 2

At one stage in last night’s fixtures, Liverpool were level on points with second placed Tottenham Hotspur, with the Reds leading 2-1 at home against Bournemouth and Spurs trailing 1-0 at the Liberty Stadium. Then in the space of five odd second half minutes it all changed, with Joshua King scoring an equaliser for Bournemouth in the 87th minute.

At the Liberty, Alli equalised for Spurs in the 88th minute, and the Lilywhites scored two more times in stoppage time and all of a sudden, Spurs were five points clear of the Reds.

Jurgen Klopp’s side were however aided by Man City’s 2-1 loss to Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, meaning that Liverpool remain third, two ahead of City (who have a game in hand over the Reds) Continue reading
