Sadio Mane named Liverpool Players’ Player of the season

Sadio Mane has been voted as Liverpool’s Players’ Player of the season for 2016/17. The Senegalese star beat off competition from Adam Lallana and Roberto Firmino (who finished second and third respectively)

LFC players in Germany v England

Liverpool had two players featuring in Germany vs England- Emre Can (Germany) and Adam Lallana (England). Lallana played for 66 minutes before being replaced by Nathan Redmond. Liverpool 2 Burnley 1- Reds win despite dire first half performance

Liverpool narrowly escaped being Burnley’s first away scalp this season in the Premiership as two second half goals allowed them to come from behind to beat the Tykes after a first half performance that only could be described as terrible.

The Reds had lost 2-0 at Turf Moor earlier this season and manager Jurgen Klopp was relieved that his side had prevented the Tykes from claiming a league double, saying that it was the “first ugly game” they had won.
